What is SATTA

The South African Taxidermy & Tannery Association

The officially recognized body serving the Taxidermy, Tannery and Dip & Pack industry dedicated to maintaining a prosperous industry, securing the future for a legitimate and compliant industry and raising the profile and standard within the South African industry.

We have a responsibility not only towards SATTA members, but the industry at large to promote and enhance taxidermy and any
associated services.

Purpose

To ensure a thriving Taxidermy Industry in South Africa, the association provides a much-needed voice for the sector on the local and international level

SATTA endeavours to communicate that the industry is relevant, responsible, and accountable and advocates for the industry at large, co-operation and good relations with other sectors, are vital to keep the industry afloat.

SATTA lobby with Provincial and National Government, and international bodies, to instill a pro-trade environment where possible.

SATTA liaises with all levels of government and authorities, locally and internationally, to ensure the development of government initiatives, transformation, social responsibility, and funding projects, and most importantly in the compilation of legislation and regulations that affect permits.
